How Much does an eye exam cost?

Eye Exam - $65
Spherical Contact Lens Exam - $100
Toric Contact Lens Exam - $130
Monovision or Bifocal Contact Lens Exam - $160

Do my eyes have to be dilated?

We do not dilate every time your eyes are examined unless there are medical reasons that make it necessary.

How much does a contact lens exam cost?

A contact lens exam for spherical daily wear or disposable lenses costs $100. If a prescription for toric lenses to correct an astygmatism is needed, the cost is $130. For bifocal or multifocal lenses, the cost is $160. The cost of the contact lens exam includes a prescription for eyeglasses and all follow-up visits.

Will you accept my insurance plan?

We take most vision insurance plans. Please visit our insurance page for a partial list of the plans that we accept. The best way to find out if we accept your vision plan is to give us the name of the plan, social security number of the primary cardholder and the patient's date of birth.

How far in advance do I need to make an appointment?

We advise that you call at least one day in advance. Evenings book more quickly, however. We also give exams all day Saturday. We welcome walk-ins whenever we can fit them into the schedule.

How long will it take to get my glasses?

We have an on-site lab capable of providing eyeglasses in a few hours, provided we have the correct lenses in stock. Special-order lenses usually arrive within one or two days but can take up to two weeks.

How long will it take to get my contacts?

We keep many contact lenses in stock, but if lenses have to be ordered, we can often provide trial lenses until your prescription lenses arrive. In some cases the doctor must see you for a follow-up visit before the exact prescription can be ordered. Once ordered, contact lenses usually arrive within 24-48 hours.

How often should I have my eyes examined?

Contact lens wearers must have their eyes examined every 12 months because the prescription is only good for one year. Other patients should have their eyes examined every 18 months unless advised otherwise by a doctor.
