Contact Lenses
Contact lenses are an option for most patients if they are motivated.
There are lenses for single vision, bifocal wearers, as well as for those who need a correction for astigmatism.
The variety of options available makes it
possible to help many patients who in the past were told that they were
not candidates for contacts.
Dr. Diskin spends a great deal of time with his contact lens patients making sure that they have the best possible fit. It is not always accomplished on the first visit to the office, but after some follow-up visits. The initial fee charged for the contact lens visit covers and all follow-ups as well as all trial lenses that are used while fitting.
We use lenses from such manufacturers and brands as:
- Bausch and Lomb - PureVision, PureVision Toric and PureVision Multi-Focal
- Ciba Vision - Air Optix, O2Optix, Night & Day, Focus Dailies, FreshLook
- Johnson and Johnson - Acuvue
- Cooper Vision - Avaira, Biofinity, Biomedics, ClearSight, Expressions, Frequency, Hydrasoft, Preference, Proclear, Vertex
- and many specialty lens companies
Our staff is available to help you learn to wear your contacts and enjoy them. We are happy to spend as much time as you need teaching you the proper way to insert and remove your lenses. It is also important that you be taught the correct procedure for cleaning and storing your lenses.
We look forward to having the opportunity to help you with your contact lens needs.
